The Stage 3 Expansion is Reaching New Heights!

If you’ve driven past Eaton Fair lately, you’ve probably noticed… things are getting BIG!

February has been a huge month on site, with the expansion quite literally reaching new heights. More of the shopping centre floor slabs are now in place, and those towering building columns you can see rising from the ground are a sure sign that the structure is really taking shape.

Ground floor walls have gone up, and the team is gearing up to pour the first section of the upper deck car park slab — a major milestone. Once that’s complete, internal services works can begin inside the expansion as we move toward the end of summer. That’s when things really start coming together behind the scenes.

And it’s not just what you can see outside…

If you’ve visited the centre recently and heard a bit of activity behind the hoarding near Kmart, that’s all part of the exciting reconfiguration works underway. These works are preparing for a seamless connection between the existing Kmart mall and the brand-new expansion — so when we open, the entire centre will flow beautifully from end to end.

With more than 60 workers on site much of the time, the pace of construction is ramping up fast. There’s a real buzz around the project, and we can’t wait to share even more exciting updates with you soon.
